GRAL Officials Training

2026 Returning Strokes and Turns Official

This course is for returning Strokes and Turns Judges. USA Certified Strokes and Turns Judges do not need to take this course. Beginning in 2023, new Strokes and Turns Judges must take the class in person and the online tests.

2026 Returning Head Table Worker Tests Only

This course is only for returning Head Table Workers who have been instructed to take it. Otherwise, please take the new Head Table Worker Training course.

2026 New Clerk of Course

This course is for new clerks and those who have not maintained certification.

2026 Returning Clerk of Course Test Only

This test is for certified Clerks of Course to take every other year as long as they remain certified (work two halves/year). To see if you need to take this test, go to www.gralva.com/officials and click on the link that shows the status.

Coaches Test

This test is for Coaches. You must pass in order to argue calls over the season or be on deck as an official Coach at Champs. Junior coaches do not need to take this and can serve as bleacher monitors or relay helpers at Champs.

Returning Referee Tests Only

This test is for certified Referees to take each year. It includes Clerk and Starter, so there is no reason to take those tests separately. If you are NOT USA Certified at Strokes and Turns, please also take that course. Also attend Ref Roundtable
